Method
Why Dane answers differently
Before it solves anything, Dane writes down what the problem lets it assume, checks each assumption against the problem's own givens with a formal checker, and discards the ones that do not hold. It then solves on what survived and checks its final answer against the published one. The other models answer in a single pass. On hard problems the difference is usually not knowledge; it is an assumption that was never checked.
